Kingdom Come (band)

Kingdom Come is a company incorporated in the United States hard rock band that was founded by the German singer Lenny Wolf to life and its driving force and only constant Wolf until today.

History

Kingdom Come went in 1987 out of the band Stone Fury, published the mid-1980s, the two albums Burns Like a Star (1984) and Let Them Talk (1986). Singer Lenny Wolf called for the end of the band Kingdom Come with a new band to life. Besides Wolf were the two guitarists Danny Stag and Rick Steier, bassist Johnny B. Frank and drummer James Kottak became the great line-up.

From the outset, the band was compared with Led Zeppelin, which was due not least to the similarity of the voices of Robert Plant and Lenny Wolf. In the American edition of the 1988 Monsters of Rock Tour Kingdom Come opened each evenings for Metallica, the Scorpions and the headliners Van Halen. This was followed by a support tour for Bon Jovi and Ratt by Japan and a UK tour opening for Magnum.

A year later, the band was already waiting with their second album. While In Your Face could not quite match the success of their debut in the U.S., but made ​​it to number 49 on the charts. In 2001 Lenny Wolf was part of the German -rock stars project, which published on the occasion of the terrorist attacks of September 11, the single Wings of Freedom.

In February 2005, Kingdom Come were planning for the first time in over 10 years, a return to America, the tour had to be canceled due to visa problems, however. Another album, Is not Crying for the Moon, was published in 2006. In November the same year was Kingdom Come on a tour of Russia with 11 concerts and a television appearance and in each case an appearance in Kiev, Ukraine, and Almaty, Kazakhstan on the go.
