In the Kingdom of the Golden Dragon (Spanish: El reino del dragon de oro ) of the second volume of the teen book trilogy The city is the wild gods of Isabel Allende, published in 2003 by Hanser Verlag.

Action

The novel tells the adventures of 16 -year-old American boy Alexander Cold and Nadia Santos coming from Amazon. On their second trip, they accompany Alexander's grandmother Kate Cold in the Kingdom of the Golden Dragon, a small, peace-loving country in the mountains of the Himalayas. The country has a legendary oracle, the Golden Dragon, a statue that can interrogate only the king of the kingdom and must, because it is delivering answers in encrypted form. An unscrupulous collectors commissioned a well-organized gang of thieves to steal the sanctuary of the country. Alex and Nadia try along with the Buddhist Lama Tensing and the prince of the country, Dil Bahadur, to prevent this robbery.
