Kirill Petrov

Kirill Andreyevich Petrov (Russian Кирилл Андреевич Петров; born April 13, 1990 in Kazan, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with Ak Bars Kazan in the Kontinental Hockey League since June 2011.

Career

Kirill Petrov began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth of the Ak Bars Kazan, for the first team, he made his debut in the Russian Super League in the season 2006/ 07. The Ak Bars defeated in 2007 in the final of the Metallurg Magnitogorsk. In the 2008 /09 season Kazan won the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League for the first time Gagarin Cup, with Petrov came in six games for use and scoring one goal. The following year he was again able to win with Ak Bars Kazan the Gagarin Cup, where he was this time used in three playoff games.

After he had started the season 2010/11 in Kazan, Petrov moved to two inserts within the KHL season newly promoted HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk, in which he was able to fight for a regular place. In June 2011, he returned to his hometown club.

Internationally

For Russia, Petrov took part in the U18 World Junior Championships in 2007 and 2008, as well as the U20 Junior World Championship 2009 part.
