Kirnitzschtal

Kirnitzschtal was a municipality in the Saxon Switzerland & Eastern Ore Mountains in Saxony. It was incorporated on October 1, 2012 in the city Sebnitz with which they already worked together previously in the administrative community Sebnitz.

Geography and transport

The five districts of the municipality Kirnitzschtal were Altendorf, Middle Village, Lictenhain, Ottendorf and Saupsdorf that run in this order from west to east.

All districts are on the plateaus north of the eponymous creek Kirnitzsch in Kirnitzschtal in about 365 m above sea level. NN. The 44.2 km ² municipal area retired from Bad Schandau on the Elbe River east to the Czech border.

The districts Altendorf, medium and light grove village located on the road S 154 Bad Schandau and Sebnitz. The district funds village has a break point on the railway line Bautzen- Bad Schandau, which, however, only for walkers has a meaning. In Kirnitzschtal the electrically operated Kirnitzschtalbahn of Bad Schandau drives up to Lichtenhainer waterfall.

History

The community Kirnitzschtal was created on 1 March 1994 the three municipalities light Hain ( with Altendorf and means village), Ottendorf and Saupsdorf. The municipality was established in the school in the district road 4 light grove. On 1 October 1998 Kirnitzschtal entered into a management community with the neighboring town of Sebnitz. Sebnitz completed since then with some of the administrative work for Kirnitzschtal and received an allocation from the municipality.

Due to the difficult budgetary situation Kirnitzschtals the council decided the integration to Sebnitz. The county was June 25, 2012 its approval of the merger. The annexation took effect on 1 October 2012 in force management community was dissolved. The former districts were Kirnitzschtals districts of Sebnitz. The last honorary mayor of the community was Norbert Läsker ( CDU). Until the local elections of 2014, the five former Kirnitzschtaler districts have a common Ortschaftsrat, then they should each receive their own Ortschaftsrat.

The population of the parish rose after their formation slightly, to a high of 2,271 in 1997, but then dropped to 2,083 in 2011 from ( December 31 respectively ). The last determined population density with the December 31, 2011 was 47 persons per km ².
