Kirnu

Kirnu at the amusement park Linnanmaki (Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland) is a steel roller coaster from the model ZacSpin the manufacturer Intamin, which opened on April 27, 2007. It is located between Vekkula ( the fun house) and the stage of the park.

She was the first of two previously existing ZacSpin roller coasters world. An identical plant was opened on 21 July 2007 as Inferno in the Spanish theme park of Terra Mitica.

The ZacSpin model is the 4th dimension coaster version of the manufacturer Intamin. Unlike the models of Arrow or S & S Power flashovers of the seats are not performed controlled. The seats of the car falling over themselves in up to 60 km / h ride uncontrollably so that, depending on the weight and distribution of the rider, every ride is different. Too rapid rotation is prevented by built-in eddy current brakes.

The total maximum of 25 meter high rail construction is suspended from four support pillars. Because of this and because the only 142 meter long route has no horizontal curves, the system requires only a very small space of 12 m × 25 m.

Unlike the prototype of ZacSpin in the two systems are not linear synchronous motors are used, but a hydraulically driven chain lift. The elevator takes the car in about 29 seconds over the highest point of the route. The actual trip takes only about 13 seconds. On the curved road, the rider roll over several times to be braked by eddy current brakes until the car on a near-vertical descent before the station.

Kirnu owns three cars, each with about 3.5 tons. In each coach eight people (two rows ) can take place.

The rows of seats of cars straddle the rail. Thus two of the four people sitting a row on one side of the rail while the other two on the other side of the rail sit. The second row seat sitting back to back with the other.
