Kirsti Strøm Bull

Kirsti Strøm Bull (* April 27, 1945 ) is a professor at the Department of Private Law at the Law Faculty at the University of Oslo.

She made 1969 a university degree in law in 1993 and received a doctorate in law at the University of Oslo. She specializes in family law and the law of the seeds. Overall, she has written about 100 scientific articles and contributions to books.

In the spring of 1970 she was a research assistant at the Nordic Institute of Marine Sciences at the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo, in the years 1970/71 Judge. From 1971 to 1987 she worked as a lecturer at the Institute for Private Law, where she was appointed on 1 May 1987 on the professor. From 2003 to 2008 she also worked at the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights. Kirsti Strøm Bull is also a professor at the Sami College in Kautokeino ( Guovdageaidnu ).

Since the beginning of February 2013, it is the President of the Norwegian Academy of Sciences. The end of 2011 it had become the Vice President.
