Kirstie Allsopp

Kirstie Allsopp Mary ( born August 31, 1973 in Hampshire, England ) is a British television presenter and journalist. She is best known as a presenter of the TV Magazine Location, Location, Location; Relocation, Relocation; Location Revisited; The Property Chain and Kirstie 's Homemade Home. All magazines with the exception of the last two she presents along with Phil Spencer.

Life

Allsopp is the daughter of Charles Henry Allsopp, 6th Baron Hindlip and former Chairman of the famous auction house Christie's. Her mother Fiona McGowan worked as an independent interior designer and owned his own architectural office. Allsopp has three siblings, a brother and two sisters. Her sister Sofie Allsopp also works as a television presenter.

By the title of her father, she has the title The Honourable Kirstie Allsopp.

She attended different schools, including St Clotilde 's in Lechlade, Gloucestershire and Bedales, near Petersfield, Hampshire. Allsopp spent some time in India and taught English there. After returning to the UK she worked for Country Living and Food & Homes Magazine and for the company of her mother, Hindlip & Prentice Interiors. At Christies Allsopp attended courses in art history.

She also founded her own real estate firm Kirmir Property Search.

Allsopp is also since December 2007, advisor to the Conservative Party in housing issues.

Allsopp was, as other moderators also variously accused of dieting as part of their television shows with the viewers in an irresponsible way, the desire for a home, leading to a financial indebtedness of the interested parties. She defended herself from such accusations by writing in The Times, " to make such shows and their presenters responsible for the current uncertain state of the property market, would be the same as when TV chefs to blame for the numerous cases of obesity try ".

Your significant other is the real estate agent Ben Andersen, they have two children together. She is also stepmother of Andersen's two children from a previous relationship. She is currently living in London.

In October 2009 it was reported in several English newspapers that Allsopp should possibly be appointed in the event of an election victory of the Tories for Life Peer. An official confirmation or nomination has not yet been posted.
