Kiryat Yam

Kiryat Jam (Hebrew קריית ים, Arabic كريات يام ) is a city founded in 1945 in Israel. It is located about 10 km north of Haifa and in 2003 had about 38,000 inhabitants, of whom about 20,000, which was first launched in 1990 with a large wave of immigration ( aliyah ) after the collapse of the Soviet Union. In 2008, the population was about 40,000.

Along with several other small towns forms a conurbation with the Kiryat Jam unofficial name HaKrajot.
