Kistler Instrumente AG, headquartered in Winterthur is an international and specialized in the field of metrology Swiss group of companies. She is represented by 25 subsidiaries and over 50 own technical offices in 21 countries. Kistler Instruments employs around 1,000 people and generated 2008 sales of 215 million Swiss francs.

History

The company was formally founded in 1957, but the entrepreneurial activity began in 1950 when Walter P. Kistler left patent he developed the charge amplifier. In 1957 he and Hans Conrad Sonderegger founded, the father of the current CEO, the private firm Kistler Instruments, in 1959 converted into a corporation. Developed and initially provided a variety of quartz sensors ago. In 1961, the company started its own production of charge amplifiers and subsequently developed further sensors, including several world premieres.
