Kjell Askildsen

Kjell Askildsen ( born September 30, 1929 at Mandal southern Norway ) is a Norwegian writer, often referred to as " Norway Beckett " or moved to the vicinity of the U.S. author Raymond Carver. At first novelist to Askildsen moved over time minimalist narratives in which take place there are no material events or developments. He still fascinates many readers, then by his brief, poignant and enigmatic language. Askildsen writes on Riksmål. He has received numerous awards, most recently (2009) the Svenska Akademiens nordiska pris.
