Kjersti Stubø

Kjersti Stubø ( born April 25, 1970 in Narvik ) is a Norwegian jazz singer.

Stubø studied jazz at the Conservatory of Trondheim. She has appeared as a teenage girl with her father, guitarist Thorgeir Stubø and musicians such as Bernt Rosengren, Doug Raney, Tore Brunborg, Vigleik Storaas, Lars Martin Myhre and Odd Børretzen. Until 1997 she was a member of the vocal group Kvitretten with which she was nominated in 1997 for the Spellemannprisen. In 1999, she performed at the Kongsberg Jazz Festival with Herbie Hancock.

In addition Stubø directs the Kjersti Stubø band, the other Bergcrantz, Vigleik Storaas, Olaf and Per Oddvar Johansen Kamfjord belong. She performed with the band on, inter alia, the Kongsberg Jazz Festival and released the albums Sted & tid and My Shining Hour.
