Kjetil Rekdal (2006)

Kjetil André Rekdal ( born November 6, 1968 in Molde) is a Norwegian football player and coach.

Life

His professional career began at the age of 16 years at Molde FK, where he scored 25 goals in 75 games between 1985 and 1988.

Through his good vision and accurate passes, he served as a player mostly on the central midfield position. The third place in the Bundesliga in 1999 with Hertha BSC is considered his greatest success as a player. As a member of the Norwegian national team, he played 83 A- international matches; remembered he stays through his winning goal by controversial penalty against Brazil in the group stage of the 1998 World Cup in France, with whom he the Norwegian National Team participation brought in the 90th minute at the first knockout round.
