KJS (KDE)

KJS is the JavaScript implementation of the K Desktop Environment. It was originally developed by Harri Porten for KDE's Konqueror web browser, where it combines with the HTML rendering engine KHTML for rendering web pages.

Apple Inc. it took to support JavaScript in your Mac OS X and developed it as a splinter group called JavaScriptCore on, as Apple announced on 13 June 2002. Meanwhile JavaScriptCore, together with WebCore, a spin-off of KHTML, developed in the project WebKit to SquirrelFish and used to SquirrelFish Extreme and for the Safari web browser.
