Klaus- Dietrich Flade ( born August 23, 1952 in Büdesheim, Rhineland -Palatinate ) is a German test pilot and former astronaut.

During his military service pita acquired next to his pilot's license and a degree in engineering from the aviation and aerospace engineering at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich. Since 1990 he was a member of the German astronaut team and was from 17 to 25 March 1992, research cosmonaut member of the Mir- 92 mission. As an officer of the Air Force pita reached the rank of lieutenant colonel. He is currently working as a test pilot for Airbus in Toulouse ( F), where it is also responsible for operations management.

Klaus- Dietrich Flade is married and has two children.
