Klaus Rudolf Werhand ( born December 4, 1938 in Neuwied am Rhein, Rhineland -Palatinate, † March 20, 2009 ) was a German blacksmith and sculptor, especially in the area of ​​Metallbildnerei.

Family

Werhand came from an old craftsman family from Niederbieber and was the son of the plumber and electrician Master Peter Werhand and the master tailor Werhand Helene, née Neumann. He married in 1960 Renate Kuhn ( born October 3, 1939 in Neuwied ), daughter of the locksmith and racer Hermann Kuhn, and his wife Helma Gondolo. From this marriage the daughter Susanne and son Martin Werhand come. The son studied German and took the profession of the publisher.

Career

Klaus Rudolf Werhand completed after school in our own family an apprenticeship as a plumber and electrician. In 1959 he went to the Bundeswehr and made there in the Air Force until 1964, training as aircraft cell construction mechanic.
