Kleinsölk is a municipality with 590 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Styria ( Judicial District Schladming ).

Geography

Kleinsölk lies in the Political Expositur Groebming in Liezen in the Austrian province of Styria. As in area seven largest community of Styria, the community combines an eight -mile land border with the province of Salzburg.

There are no other cadastral except Kleinsölk. The municipal area includes the districts Winkl mill Stein / Enns, Sölkdörfl, Dörfl, Gelsenberg, Reith, Vorderwald, Kleinsölk and backwoods.

Together with the communities Sankt Nikolai im Sölktal and Großsölk forms Kleinsölk the nature Sölktäler founded in 1976, which covers an area of 277 km ².

History

" Sölk " was first mentioned around 1075 to 1080. The abolition of the manorial system was carried out in 1848., The local church as an autonomous body was established in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938, the community came to Reichsgau Styria. On November 15, 1944 crashed when Putzental -Alm from an American bomber. 1945 to 1955 she was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

Coat of arms

The award of the municipality coat of arms was made with effect from 1 February 1987. Blazon: In black three silver maple leaves a leaping silver stag, highlighted by a silver lily stalk.

Twinning

Since June 1, 1972, there is a community partnership with the City Ilshofen in Baden- Württemberg, Germany.
