Klondike is a mountainous region near the town of Dawson in the Yukon Territory in northwestern Canada. The region is located in the border zone between Alaska and the Yukon Territory in Canada the Klondike River, a small river, which flows into the north-east of Dawson in the Yukon River. On the Klondike in 1897, gold was found. This sparked the largest gold rush in American history. As a reminder, it is available in Seattle and Skagway Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park.
