Klucz, Szczecin

Klucz ( German Klutz ) is a town in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. It forms together with the adjacent Żydowce ( Sydowsaue ) the village Żydowce - Klucz in the city Stettin.

Geographical location

The place is located in Eastern Pomerania, about 10 kilometers south of the center of Szczecin, on the right bank of the East Oder ( Reglitz ). To the west lies the Landscape Park Lower Oder Valley, east of the Szczecin Landscape Park Buchheide.

History

The place was first mentioned in 1305, when the monastery Kolbatz bought him from the possession of the Pomeranian Dukes and thereby also acquired fishing rights on the East Oder.
