Kolbrún Halldórsdóttir

Kolbrún Halldórsdóttir ( born July 31, 1955 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic politician ( Left-Green Movement).

She was from 1999 to 2009 Member of the Icelandic parliament, the Althing. On 1 February 2009 she was appointed Minister of the Environment and Minister for Nordic Cooperation in the transitional government Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir I. In the parliamentary elections of April 25, 2009 Kolbrún Halldórsdóttir was not re-elected; as her successor as Minister of the Environment in the Cabinet Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir II 2009 Svandis Svavarsdóttir was appointed on May 10.
