Kombo North/Saint Mary
Kombo North is one of 35 districts - the second highest level of administrative divisions - the West African nation of Gambia. It is one of nine districts in the West Coast region.
According to a calculation by 2013 there live about 294 224 inhabitants, the result of the last published census of 2003 was 166,351.
The name is derived from Kombo, a former small kingdom.

Population
According to a survey of 1993 ( former census ), the largest population group, the Mandinka with a share of around five tenths, followed by the Jola and Fula the. The distribution in detail: Mandinka 46.8%, 12.9%, Fula, Wolof 11.5%, 17.9%, Jola 1.6% Serahule, 2.8% Serer, Aku 0.5 %, 3.1 Manjago %, 0.7 % and 2.2% Bambara other ethnicities.
