Komorní Lhotka

Komorní Lhotka (Polish Ligotka Kameralna, German Kameral Ellgoth ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located ten kilometers south-west of Frýdek- Místek at the Stonávka in the Moravian- Silesian Beskids and belongs to Okres Frýdek- Místek.

Geography

Komorní Lhotka is located at the northern foot of the Beskydy Mountains at the confluence of Ráztoka in the Stonávka. Southeast is the Godula ( 737 m ) south of the Kyčera ( 767 m).

Neighboring towns are Hnojník in the north, Smilovice in the east, Řeka, Godula and Hůra the southeast, Stonávka in the Southwest, America, Podlesí, Hliníky and Dobratice in the West.

History

The first written mention of the village Bučková Lhota comes from 1455th The name of the town changed in the course of time several times. 1506 he has been handed down as Lhota and from the beginning of the 16th century, there are the names Wallachian Lhota and Střižná Lhota. From 1621 Location Ves Elgotka, later Střední Lhota, Prostřední Lhota, Elgoth, Ligotka Gnojnicka, Lhotka nad was called Hnojníkem, Líhotka and since 1808 Litka. Beginning in 1885 the name was then Lhotka and 1884 was what we today place name. This was changed in the early 20th century in Ligotka Kameralna or Cameral Elgot for distinguishing homonymous places. In the Valley of Ráztoka earlier quarries were operated, in which the gray-green and slate Godulasandstein was recovered. The inhabitants were mostly Protestant and met until 1781 to clandestine religious services on the Godula.

After the abolition of patrimonial Cameral Ellgoth formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Teschen. 1860 opened the Bauer Jiří Valica at the foot of Godula a herbal bath. 1880 founded the mayor Adam Walach a hydropathic establishment. In 1980 Komorní Lhotka was incorporated into Hnojník, since 1990, the municipality is again. In Komorní Lhotka a strong Polish minority is living with a population share of 21.5 % ( 2001).
