König Ludwig Schlossbrauerei
The König Ludwig GmbH & Co. KG Schlossbrauerei Cold Mountain ( shorter: Castle Brewery Cold Mountain ), headquartered in Bavaria Fürstenfeldbruck is a medium-sized Bavarian brewery. The brewery has since 2001 entered into a partnership between Prince Luitpold of Bavaria, his Schloßbrauerei cold mountain Ermengarde Princess of Bavaria GmbH on the one hand and the Warsteiner brewery on the other. The King Louis Schloßbrauerei Cold Mountain is a licensee of the King Louis International, which is controlled by Prince Luitpold of Bavaria. The beverage brands " König Ludwig Dunkel ", " King Ludwig Weissbier ", " King Ludwig Hell" and " Cold Mountain" are the Licensor, King Louis International owned. It carries out these brands in the world and has awarded in many countries to a third party license rights.
Naming
The name and the official slogan "Beer of Royal Highness " comes from the fact that the brewery which is through their brands König Ludwig Dunkel and "König Ludwig Weissbier " known primarily goes back to the Bavarian royal house and still a Wittelsbach, Prince Luitpold of Bavaria, the management holds.

History of the brewery
Already in 1260 the house of Wittelsbach founded the first brewery, a little later ( 1292 ) built Duke Rudolph the cold mountain castle. It is believed that since then at that point beer is brewed. After a long eventful history, it came back in 1955 in the possession of the Wittelsbach dynasty, which had previously dominated by the Bavarian Purity Law and the over 200 -year-long wheat beer monopoly the Bavarian brewing art. Cold Mountain and the Oktoberfest
To a possible participation of the castle brewery at Munich's Oktoberfest, a bitter and media- prone lawsuit is filed for more than 20 years. Because even though the festival was launched on the occasion of the wedding of Ludwig I by the Wittelsbach in life, the Wittelsbach brewery may not participate today because this just Munich operations are permitted.
