Kopelman Quartet

The Kopelman Quartet is a company founded in Moscow in 2002 String Quartet, consisting of the musicians Mikhail Kopelman and Boris Kushnir (violin), Igor Sulyga (viola) and Mikhail Milman (cello ) exists.

Musical direction

All four musicians were in the 1970s, graduates of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. It sees itself as a successor to the renowned Borodin Quartet. Mikhail Kopelman was first violinist in the Borodin Quartet, Boris Kushnir and Igor Suliga worked with Dmitri Shostakovich.

The ensemble participates in international festivals and guest appearances at the Vienna Musikverein, London's Wigmore Hall and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
