Kopřivnice

Kopřivnice ( German: Nesselsdorf ) is a city in Okres Nový Jičín in the Czech Republic. It lies about 30 kilometers south of Ostrava on the Lubina.

History

Nesselsdorf built in the 13th century near the castle chimney and belonged to the reign of the Counts of Hückeswagen.

In 1910 Nesselsdorf was given city rights. The town was known primarily by the 1850 founded by Ignaz Schustala vehicle and railway manufacturer nettle Wagenbau - Fabriks Society ( NW), emerged from the 1923, the car manufacturer Tatra.

His average speed was 23 km / h was reached to Vienna on 21 May 1898 a racetrack from the resort.
