Kottweiler - Schwanden is a municipality in the district of Kaiserslautern, in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Landstuhl.

Geography
The village lies on the edge of the biosphere reserve Palatinate Forest. The municipality is the Schwander stream, a tributary of the Mohr Bach, drained.
Kottweiler - Schwanden consists of the two districts Kottweiler and Schwanden.
History
The place was first mentioned in documents in 1349.
Religion
2012 were 42.7 percent of the population Catholic and 41.0 percent Protestant. The other belonged to a different religion or no religious affiliation were. Catholics belong to the diocese of Speyer, the Evangelical Lutheran Church for Protestant Palatinate.

The blazon of the arms is: " In green with a golden orb a silver Waldaxt, diagonally crossed with a silver ax ."
It was established in 1960 approved by the Mainz Ministry of Interior. The ax and the hoe remember that Kottweiler - Schwanden emerged as Rodungsort.
