Kouty (Nymburk District)

Kouty ( German rubber ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers north of Poděbrady and belongs to fulltext your real estates.

Geography

Kouty is located on a hill on the left side of the Blatnice on the East Bohemian panel. South-east lie the Blatowiesen and in the west the river level Mrlina. Southwest of the summit "Well Vršalích " rises (196 m).

Neighboring towns are Netřebice in the north, Úmyslovice in the northeast, Ostrov in the east, Blato and Okřínek the southeast, Pátek in the south, Křečkov the southwest, Budiměřice in the west and Rašovice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village belonging to Poděbrady rule was in 1345, when Hynek of Lichtenburg received the castle as a fief Podiebrad. Kouty was due to an increased space over an extended break country. By 1450 George of Podiebrad was south of the village behind the stately pheasantry build the Sansky kanál, which was used for irrigation of Poděbrady fish ponds. After George of Podiebrad had in 1461 visited Kouty Neumühlestrasse he founded, he was on the way back trough the Blatnice for the impoundment of a large pond suitable. His son Heinrich von Münsterberg was 1474 realize the plans and north of Kouty was a small dam, which was to be the breakdown region to a huge pond with 996 acres of water. Directly on the dam was the monolayer Schabata.

At the end of the 18th century was the draining of the largest Bohemian fishpond. During the Napoleonic Wars Napoleon Bonaparte stayed with his troops at the end of 1813 Gasthof Schabata. The eminent French stenographer Jean Coulon de Thévenot died on December 30, 1813 in Schabata. He was buried in Úmyslovice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Kouty formed with the district Šabata 1850 a municipality in the district Poděbrady. On January 1, 1961, the community came to fulltext your real estates. At the beginning of 1980 Kouty was incorporated into Úmyslovice, since 1990, the municipality is again.
