Koyo Kawanishi (Japanese川西 浩 阳, Kawanishi Koyo; born January 18, 1959) is a Japanese dentist and amateur astronomer.
Kawanishi is the discoverer or co-discoverer of asteroids currently 13. He made the most of his discoveries along with Toshirō Nomura. He now lives with his wife and daughter in Ako in Hyōgo Prefecture.
The asteroid ( 5591 ) Koyo was named after him.
