Krahu i shqiponjës

Krahu i shqiponjës (German: eagle wings ) is an Albanian-language magazine, discusses the political, cultural, literary and social topics. It is a representative body for the interests of the CAMs. Founder and publisher was the journalist Bilal Xhaferr Xhaferri.

History

The first edition was published in Chicago in October 1974 in both Albanian and English language as an organ of Camen league. From this bilingual edition 39 issues appeared.

Krahu i Shqiponjës served as a tribune of the free democratic expression with strong anti-communist and totalitarian - orientation. Their goal was the unification of the Albanian political forces in exile and the transformation of Albania into a free and pro-Western government. Treats were the Albanian national problems, the concerns of Camen, as well as the problems of the Albanian communities in the Diaspora.

Since August 1995, it was published under the direction of the journalist and writer Shefki Hysa as an organ of native to the cameria Culture Society Bilal Xhaferri Krahu i shqiponjës of Tirana. By 2008, about 80 issues have been published.

The current content includes both interviews translations of foreign authors such as Alfred de Musset, Jack London, Jean -Paul Sartre, Miranda Vickers and Christina Rossetti as well as by Albanian authors such Dritëro Agolli, Xhaferri Bilal, Ismail Kadare, Namik Mane, Pjetër Arbnori, Shefki Hysa, Vath Koreshi and Martin Mato. The concerns of the CAMs are discussed in detail as before.
