The Kranji Expressway ( Abbreviation: Economic Survey, Chinese:克兰 芝 高速公路; Pinyin: Kèlánzhī Gaosu Gonglu; Tamil: கிராஞ்சி விரைவுச்சாலை; Malay: Lebuhraya Kranji ) is a highway in Singapore. It connects the Bukit Timah Expressway ( BKE ) at Bukit Panjang and then runs towards the southwest Iceland Pan Expressway ( PIE) in Jurong West. Construction of the highway began in 1990 and was completed in 1994. The Kranji Expressway is about 8 kilometers in length, the shortest expressway in Singapore.
