Krastata Kazarma

The Krastata Kasarma ( Bulg Кръстата казарма / cross -Kaserne ) is a former military facility of the Ottoman Empire, which was named after their cross-shaped construction. Due to its architecture, it is now one of the cultural heritage of the region around Vidin in Bulgaria.

Built by Polish architects were completed in 1801 and housed four separate institutions with a common roof. On the property also forces the Janissaries were housed.

After the Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule by the Russian - Ottoman war (1877-1878), the property was initially a court as well as to accommodate the Bulgarian army troops, now a museum. Here is housed the ethnographic department of the " Konaka " Museum.
