Kremitzaue

Kremitzaue is a municipality in the Elbe -Elster in Brandenburg ( Germany ) and belongs to the Office Schlieben headquartered in the city Schlieben.

Geography

The community is scenically the transition between the typical lowland Schwarze Elster in the west and increasing to the north and east of glacial hills in the northern Elbe -Elster district.

The community Kremitzaue is composed of the districts Kolochau, Malitschkendorf and Polzen.

History

The community Kremitzaue was taken on December 31, 2001 the voluntary merger of the previously independent municipalities Kolochau, Malitschkendorf and Polzen.

1346 Kolochau is first mentioned in the Meissner Bistumsmatrikeln.

Malitschkendorf is first mentioned in 1290 in the document book of the monastery Doberlug. The village's name is a German -Slavic mixture. You either goes back to the person name or the importance Malutschka very small village.

Polzen was mentioned in 1420 as " Bolczin " the first time.
