Kremser SC

The Kremser Sports Club is an Austrian football club from the city of Krems in Lower Austria and currently plays in the second national league west, the fifth- highest division in Austria. His club colors are black and white.

History

The club was founded on 24 August 1919 as the first Kremser sports club with the club colors black, white and entered the Lower Austrian Football Association October 1, 1919 at. In its first year, the Kremser club logo was created, which is still valid today. 1930 celebrated the Kremser SC his first major success by winning the Austrian Amateur Championship. After the dissolution of the State League B, the sports club could at least keep up in 1974 in the Regional League East before it again went back into the national league Lower Austria. From 1977 to 1980, then played again in the second division of the Bundesliga, but then increased again in the national league. In 1983, the return to the second stage in the game developed the Kremser SC continuously to a top club in the league.

The next few years were the most successful of Lower Austria's traditional club. Stadium and Sports Facilities

The home games of the Kremser SC will be held in Sepp - Doll Stadium, named after former president Sepp Doll. It contains 10 000 spectators where there is a covered patio and uncovered three general admission bleachers. The complex has a grass pitch (103 x 67 m ) with a 4- mast floodlights and modern cabins. In addition, the Kremser SC has an opened August 15th, 2000 Youth Centre in Krems- Lerch field. There are the Ausportplatz a training course next to the Kremser federal sports field.

A record crowd there was on 21 October 1956 where over 10,000 visitors came to the stadium Kremser at KSC game against Rapid Wien (0:2). At the Austrian Cup final in 1988 more than 9000 spectators in Sepp - Doll Stadium and as the Kremser SC were still playing in the Premier League came against then- archrival VSE St. Pölten over 9000 fans in the stadium. After relegation from the Bundesliga in the Regional and 2007 in the national league spectator interest, however, decreased significantly.

Youth development

On 15 August 2000 ( formerly WSV hut Krems) was in Lerchenfeld district on the sports complex of the former VÖEST WSV Alpine Krems opened a youth center for youngsters.
