Kristín Ómarsdóttir

Kristín Ómarsdóttir (* September 24, 1962 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic author.

She studied at the University of Iceland Literature and Spanish.

Kristín Ómarsdóttir wrote both poetry and novels, short stories and plays. Their first release was the book of poetry " Í húsinu okkar he THOKA " ( In our house, fog) 1987. Her first novel, " Svartir brúðarkjólar " (black wedding dress ) appeared in 1992. Nowadays, it has created an extensive body of work and has received several awards.

She publishes in the Icelandic publishing Salka (formerly Edda ), the German translations appear at the hear.
