Kupari, Croatia

Kupari (Croatian Kupa for tile) is a seaside resort in Croatia.

The village lies at the southernmost end of the Croatian Adriatic coast and south of Dubrovnik. In Kupari the roof tiles of the city of Dubrovnik in the factory Kuparica were produced. Kupari as Dubrovnik and other places in the south of Croatia, the Croatian War, was severely damaged by the Serbian- Montenegrin troops (see Battle of Dubrovnik). Many grand hotels such as the " Grand Hotel Kupari ", " Pelegrin Hotel " and "Hotel Goricina " were robbed, bombed and set on fire. In Kupari there is one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia. Other well-known seaside resorts such as Cavtat, Mlini, Konavle or Srebreno be found a stone 's throw away.
