Kurt Busiek

Kurt Busiek ( born September 16, 1960 in Boston, Massachusetts) is an American comic book writer. He is known for his work for DC Comics and Marvel Comics, and for the series he created Kurt Busiek 's Astro City.

Life and work

Due to a parental ban Busiek did not begin until the age of fourteen with the reading of comics .. In high school and college he was a friend of the same age Scott McCloud, with whom he recorded together comics. His first professional post was a story about Green Lantern in 1983.

Subsequently, he worked for two major American publishers DC and Marvel, among other things for the series Superman and Avengers. From 1995 to 2010 he created the published by Image Comics, also the superhero genre attributable series about the city Astro City, for which he was also excellent.

Kurt Busiek lives with his wife and two daughters in the Pacific Northwest.
