Kurt Klühspies

Kurt Klühspies ( born February 4, 1952 in Würzburg ) is a former German national handball player, his playing position was the right rear area.

1970 Klühspies has played for the first time for the TV Großwallstadt in the then highest German class, alongside his longtime companion Manfred Hofmann. From 1978 dominated Klühspies with the TV Großwallstadt and four league titles in a row the newly founded Bundesliga.

1980 Kurt Klühspies stepped back from disappointment at the Olympic boycott in Moscow with other service providers from the national team.

His official handball resignation had declared 1984 Kurt Klühspies. 1986 and 1988 he has stepped in the European Cup again. As a "savior ", he had the TV Großwallstadt 1991 and 1993 helped out in a relegation battle again.

After his playing career, he briefly worked at TV Großwallstadt under Karl -Heinz Bergsträßer as assistant coach and earned a B- form for handball coach. Shortly, he was Head of Department at TVG.

The 1.96 meter tall Kurt Klühspies is the father of two children and a trained foreman. For many years he has worked with Adidas as Key Account Manager. Today he lives in Erlenbach am Main and is a member of the advisory board of the TV Großwallstadt.

Achievements

In addition there was mannschaftliche and personal honors such as the awarding of the Silver bay leaf 1980, or a member of the Team of the Year in 1978 with the national team, in 1979 with the TV Großwallstadt.
