Kurt Looby

Kurt Looby (born 17 February 1984 in Saint John's) is an Antiguan basketball player.

The 2.08 m wide and 109 -pound power forward began his professional career in 2008 in the NBA Development League Rio Grande Valley Vipers at. He then played for the Albuquerque Thunderbirds and Maine Red Claws. In 2010 he was transferred for a season to Greece Peristeri GS and then closed in 2011, the German Bundesliga EnBW Ludwigsburg.

Despite a still existing contract in Ludwigsburg Looby went on in the first division of Puerto Rico in the summer of 2012. Since Ludwigsburg denied him a change, he played without the consent of the club. After repeated requests to appear at fixed dates, Looby has been banned by the World Federation FIBA due to serious violations of existing contracts. In October 2012, the parties finally agreed on the termination of the contract and Looby clearance for a change was granted. He then signed a contract with Trefl Sopot in Poland. For the 2013/2014 season Looby returned to Germany and the Telekom Baskets Bonn joined them.
