Kurt Maier

Kurt Maier ( born January 21, 1911 in Mannheim, † February 11, 1952 in Heilbronn ) was a much decorated World War II Air Force major. He is one of only 863 winners of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. Maier came in 1952 in a traffic accident.
