KuÅŸ Island

Arter, as Kuş Adası: known ( Turkish " Bird Island " ), is a small island in Lake Van in eastern Turkey. It is uninhabited today. On it are the ruins of a small Armenian Monastery, which was built in the Middle Ages. There was, among other things from two churches that were built on a hill on the island. In the immediate vicinity there are more buildings of the monastery, of which only the foundations exist today were. The buildings were very simple and consisted of hewn stone.
