Kusu Island

Kusu is an island in the south of Singapore.

Another name for Kusu Iceland are peak Iceland and Tembakul Pulau in Malay. The island is 5.6 km south of the main island.

Formation

Protruding from two tiny peaks from the sea by reefs was formed by a 85,000 -square-foot embankment island.

Legend has it that a magical tortoise turned into an island to save two shipwrecked sailors. One of the sailors was Chinese and Malay.

Tourism

The island was built as a holiday resort. In the ninth month of the lunar calendar, thousands of pilgrims come to the island in order for health, peace, happiness and prosperity to pray.

On the island there is the famous Chinese temple Da Bo Gong and three Malay shrines.

Also worth seeing are the blue lagoons and pristine beaches. It is not allowed to stay on Kusu.
