The Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, shortly KU, is a state university in Kutztown, United States.

History and Organization

The KU opened in 1866 as a normal school, 1928, she was a college for teacher education, in 1983 the establishment of the Universitätssstatus was awarded. The Golden Bears are in the PSAC, a sub-division of the NCAA 2, organized. The stadium of the Golden Bears is the University Field, their basketball hall is called Keystone Hall.

Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center

Kutztown is located in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country and is home to a former farm, the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center. Owned by the University Center gives students the opportunity to engage in scientific language and culture of Pennsylvaniadeutschen. For several years Pennsylvaniadeutsch in the context of a Pennsylvania German Minor Programs also on the curriculum.
