The ancient Egyptian grave KV1 in the Valley of the Kings is regarded today as the original tomb of King Ramses VII in the 20th Dynasty.

Research

Although the grave had been opened since ancient times, it has been thoroughly studied only in the years 1983 and 1984 by the archaeologist Edwin C. Brock and then fully exposed and cleaned in 1994. However, excavations have already been made in the 50s that were not documented. Photos of grave decorations were made by the Egyptologist Alexandre Piankoff. 25.742532.601944444444Koordinaten: 25 ° 44 ' 33 "N, 32 ° 36' 7" E
