L'Île-d'Orléans Regional County Municipality
L'Île- d'Orléans is a regional county municipality (French municipalité régional du comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Quebec.
It is located in the administrative region of Capitale-Nationale and consists of six subordinate administrative units ( four communities, a village and a parish ). The MRC was established on 1 January 1982. The main town of Sainte- Famille is. The population is 6993 and the area of 194.5 km ², representing a population density of 36.0 inhabitants per km ².
The MRC is located entirely on the eponymous island of Île d' Orléans at the estuary of the St. Lawrence River.
