L'Oceanogràfic

L' Oceanographic Park ( loseanoɣɾafik, Spanish Oceanographic El ) is a Oceaneum in Valencia, Spain. It is part of the Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias and is located in the dried-out riverbed of the Turia to the east of the city. The aquarium was designed by the architect Félix Candela and the engineers Alberto Domingo and Carlos Lázaro and opened on 14 February 2003.

With a total area of approximately 110,000 m² and a capacity of about 42 million liters of water is the Oceanographic Park is the largest aquarium complex in Europe. It is home to about 45,000 animals and 500 different species, etc. Mammals, invertebrates, fish, reptiles and birds.

The park is divided into different topics that cover all the major climate zones of the world - the Mediterranean, Wetlands, Antarctica and the Arctic, the islands, the tropical sea, the temperate zone and the Red Sea.
