L. League

The Nihon Joshi Soccer League ( Japanese日本 女子 サッカー リーグ, Nihon joshi Sakkā rīgu, " Japanese Frauenfußballiga ", engl. Japan Women's Football League) is the two-stage semi-professional women's football league of the Japanese Football Association Nihon Soccer Kyōkai (English Japan Football Association). It is called based on the J. League Men also L. League ( L ·リーグ, L. rīgu ), where L stands for ladies.

Structure

In the 1st League (1部 リーグ, Ichibu rīgu, Eng. Division 1 ), usually, nicknamed Nadeshiko League (なでしこ リーグ, nadeshiko rīgu ) denotes currently playing nine team in 18 game days from the championship. The 2nd League (2部 リーグ, nibu rīgu, Eng. Division 2 ) with the nickname Challenge League (チャレンジ リーグ, charenji rīgu ), is divided into two subleagues East (チャレンジEAST, charenji īsuto ) and West (チャレンジWEST, charenji uesto ) from six teams that will contest every 15 year. Between the two divisions is determined in a Relegation each one promoted and relegated. The last of the second league contest Relegation Play against the best teams from regional competitions.

For spectator admission is always free, for some games admission charges.

History

From 1980 there was with the Zen Nihon Joshi Soccer Senshuken Taikai (全日本 女子 サッカー 選手権 大会, " Alljapanisches women's soccer tournament," engl. All Japan Women's Football Championship ) an annual nationwide competition in women's football, where mainly factory, university and school teams participated by regional qualifying competitions and later as a kind of cup competition is connected to the nascent league structure. In 1989, the Japanese Frauenfußballiga initially with six teams on their operation. In the 1990s, as well as the Nihon Pro Soccer League, the Japanese [ men's ] professional football league (English Japan Professional Football League, in short: J. The first division arose partly from plant and high school teams, the second division in part from the upper and middle school teams. Some are now women's departments of professional teams in men's football.

The league was then reorganized several times, in 2010 was created the current structure with another ten teams in the first league.   • Iga Kunoichi Football Club (伊賀フットボールクラブくノ一) from Iga, Mie Prefecture
  • Fukuoka J Anclas (福冈J ·アン クラス) from Kasuga, Fukuoka Prefecture
  • Speranza FC Osaka Takatsuki (スペランツァFC大阪 高 槻) from Takatsuki, Osaka Prefecture
