L5 (Band)

L5 was a French pop band.

Band History

L5 grew out of the first French version of the singing competition Popstars, broadcast by the broadcaster M6 since 20 September 2001.

The auditions were held in Nantes, Montpellier, Lyon, Strasbourg and Paris. On 8 November 2001, the provisional winners were announced. Particularly, since the former vocal wobble candidate Marjorie Parascandola was last tests, the cast has not been changed. For the band's name stood with Happy Face, Evidence and L5 three alternatives to choose from. End of November 2001 was announced as the new L5 band name.

From the first single, Toutes les femmes de ta vie more than 200,000 copies were sold during the first two days, a launch as it had not existed so far him in France. Overall, this first - L5 single reached sales of over 1.6 million copies.

The first concert tour of L5 led by France, Belgium and Switzerland. It began on 16 May 2002 in Atares at Le Mans and ended on 25 June 2002 at the Parc des Expositions in Reims.

In 2007, L5 separated.
