La Ferté-Macé

La Ferté- Macé is a French municipality with 5826 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Orne in Basse-Normandie region. It belongs administratively to the arrondissement Alençon and the Canton of La Ferté- Macé, whose capital it is.

Demography

Between 1793 and 1876, the population increased steadily from 3,474 to 9,769 up. Since then it has fallen again - up to currently less than 6,000 inhabitants.
