La Loubière

La Loubière is a commune with 1438 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Aveyron of the Midi -Pyrénées region; it belongs to the administrative district in the canton of Rodez and Bozouls. The administration of the municipality is located in Lioujas, which lies to the north of the municipal territory.

Geography

The municipality is located in the countryside Causse, south of the Causse du Comtal, about eight kilometers northeast of Rodez. Neighboring communities of La Loubière are:

  • Rodelle in the north,
  • Montrozier in the east,
  • Agen - d'Aveyron in the southeast,
  • Sainte -Radegonde in the south,
  • Rodez in the southwest,
  • Onet- le -Château in the west and
  • Sébazac - Concourès in the northwest ( with an enclave in the north- east).

The village of La Loubière lies on the left bank of the river Aveyron, the northern municipality is still within the influence area of ​​the karst area of Causse and therefore has hardly extending to the surface water on.

The municipality is crossed by the railway from Rodez to Sévérac -le- Château. The nearest railway station is located in Rodez.
