La Lune

La Lune was a 1865 to 1868 in Paris, published and edited by François Polo satirical magazine. André Gill was the authoritative magazine cartoonist.

The magazine was published with a title caricature in Folioformtat. The magazine cost 10 centimes and appeared in an edition of 24,000 copies; single issues, even up to 40,000 copies were printed.

The successor L' Éclipse ( = eclipse ) was published from 1868 to 1876 and as La Lune rousse ( = Red Moon ) until in 1879.
