La Poste (France)

La Poste (also: PTT La Poste, postes telegraphy et téléphonie ( German: Postal, Telegraph and Telephone ) ) is a former French national postal company, which also handles the delivery of mail in the French colonies and overseas departments and the French overseas territories.

After the public service La Poste is the largest French employers. The French post office was established in 1576 .. On March 23, 2010 the company was converted into a public limited company. All shares are owned by the French state. Before that it was a public enterprise of a commercial character ( établissements publics à caractère industriel et commercial ( EPIC) ).
